The Balvenie Pillar

The Balvenie Pillar sits atop Tom na Croiche (Hangman's Knoll) and was erected in 1755 by the 2nd Duke of Atholl to mark the spot where the last public hanging in Atholl took place in 1630.

It is number 13 - unlucky for some!, on the Blair Atholl Historic Trail.
