At 17 miles long, 1/2 mile wide and more than 450 feet deep, Loch Tay is Perthshire’s largest Loch. Our unique tour of this beautiful loch is exhilarating and suitable for ages 5 - 85.
Our modern cabin RIB `Iolaire` is safe, comfortable, fast, dry and guaranteed to raise a smile. Seating up to 12 people, our boat is also available for private charter.

Ocean Alba

We specialise in sea kayaking and kayak touring. This year for the first time we will be running taster and introduction courses on Loch tay and Loch Faskally. Join us for a stunning journey where we might stop for lunch on an island, explore the native woodlands and where they meet the magical waters of Loch Tay or for a full day where we’ll learn the basics and kick start your kayaking journey. There’ll be no more than 4 people in your group and you’ll get all of the kit you need for a journey on the water.

No previous experience required and the ability to swim is not essential (we’ll plan to stay upright). You’ll be with a very experienced and highly qualified kayaking instructor throughout the entire duration of your time on the water.

Girvans offer a wide range of fishing tackle and accessories, from spinning and fly rods to starter kits which contain everything you will need to fish local rivers of Perthshire. Munros Ltd

MUNROS - Specialist outdoor shop selling a full range of mountaineering, walking and camping equipment from major brands at very competitive prices.

Munros is a family business – Scottish owned and still based in Scotland - which has been trading since 1989. The business is located in Perthshire with retail outlets in the tourist towns of Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. The shops offer a range of clothing, footwear and accessories for the outdoors, from brands such as Berghaus, Craghoppers, Animal, and Merrell.

A small collection of Munros branded clothing was launched in 1993, which mainly consisted of fleece and t-shirts. In 2005 the t-shirt range was developed to incorporate mountain images – the first being Schiehallion, perhaps the best known of all the Perthshire hills. These proved to be immensely popular, not only with locals but also visitors from many countries around the world.
