The Witches Rock

In the past, women who appeared to be 'different' or looked 'usual', were often deemed to be witches and this rock is where they were taken to prove the accusation of witchcraft. Those who were supposed to be witches would save themselves from drowning (only to be killed another way now guilty), while those who weren't witches would unfortunately drown but at least be found innocent of witchcraft!
